The Lanier Education Foundation will help the Lanier Cluster schools
empower students to achieve at high levels and foster their learning
through academics, leadership, service, and extra-curricular activities
that will positively impact their community and prepare them for a
post-secondary career and/or the work force.

Purpose
The purpose of the Lanier Cluster Education Foundation is to enhance, enrich, and extend the academic initiatives of the schools in the cluster. The foundation shall facilitate the acquisition of funds from community members, alumni, corporations, employees, and other foundations. This foundation will be the primary community organization contributing financial support to our students, teachers, and schools.
Goals
- Provide grants to teachers and schools that support the academic programs of the cluster schools.
- Provide scholarships to enhance and reward the academic achievement of students at the pre-k, elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Provide opportunities for community awareness and participation in the life of the cluster schools.
History
When the North Gwinnett Cluster was divided into two clusters in 2010, North Gwinnett and Lanier, the North Gwinnett Schools Foundation offered to serve and support both clusters until the Lanier Cluster was ready to form their own foundation. In 2011, after a generous and supportive partnership with the North Gwinnett Schools Foundation, the Lanier Cluster was ready to form its own education foundation. Lanier Cluster had the immediate support of the community to create its own identity and charitable organization. So, the Lanier Cluster Education Foundation was founded in May 2011.
The North Gwinnett Schools Foundation provided a portion of their endowment based on the percentage of students that came to the Lanier Cluster. Their support allowed us to establish the Lanier Cluster Education Foundation quickly and efficiently to uniquely serve our schools. The Lanier Cluster Education Foundation supports all schools in the Lanier Cluster, including Lanier High, Lanier Middle, Sugar Hill Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, White Oak Elementary and the Buice School.
